A very interesting cemetery. My husband has relatives in that area, and I have visited them, but I do not remember it being a hilly area like at the cemetery. I have seen Jewish graves but not so many mixed in a regular cemetery like that. I hope someone gives you an answer about the Yiddish. Have you been to Andersonville in Georgia? I am sure you know the history of how it started out as a Civil War POW camp with a terrible history. Now it is a national cemetery. My husband's 2 uncles are buried there.

It is also the largest cemetery in North America. My Grandpa is buried there.

That cemetery looked really well preserved and taken care of. The narrow roads were odd to see. And the Hebrew was also very interesting, makes me wonder if there’s been a large Jewish presence in Macon, and if so, for how long. Fascinating

Moved down here with my family as a little kid in '67. The Colonial Mall had already hit it's "heyday" and was going strong. I also remember the "Lil' 500" go-kart place (still there today!) on 17-92 South of Winter Park. Disney had just opened their Preview Center on Buena Vista Dr. That gigantic table-top model was an incredibly exciting thing for 5 year old me to see. And Hwy 50 West of 435 (Kirkman rd.) was still a tiny little two-lane road that you could safely cross even during the afternoon. Mr. Barnett was in the middle of his multi-phase expansion in West Orange county (that eventually became Pine Hills and the surrounding areas) -but everything just outside of his developments was still scrub-pine, cattle-fields and orange groves.

Ruby Falls and that whole area is one of my favorite places, and somehow you made it even more enjoyable 😂

If you are looking Allen Collins grave. For next time. Look for the Jesus on cross statue go either 2 or 3 rows south walk east there will be a tree with a Collins bench there. Turn 180 degrees from the bench. In the area you will find Allen Collins and his wife. Steve Gaines and Cassie and family are at Jacksonville Memory Gardens. Ronnie's original tumb is also there.

I think another thing that killed the malls was the huge number of traffic lights. In the early '90s I could get from UCF to Fashion Square in 10 minutes. In 2010 or so, it was more like 30-45 minutes. 50 (aka Colonial Drive) is a "stroad" now, which is a nightmare to drive.

Man, Ronnie's sucked balls. They did help kill the mall with their mediocre food and "take it or leave it" snide service.

I really use these to be helpful .. I will not be watching this guy again.. he is really a sarcastic complainer .. I get it’s not like Royal Caribbean .. with that being said it’s 1/3rd the price .. so not sure what he was expecting .. as a white man I can say I thought his racist insinuation of Black people smoking Newports was pretty offensive. I can tell that this guy is straight up Trump supporter because he’s kind of racist. In Mississippi, the Shiloh cemetery is almost wholly a Union cemetery. I visited there for years till I noticed that! Shiloh is a park and is very nice and upkept!! If you ever have opportunity to visit, you won’t be disappointed! You’ll also be very close to the dam on the Tennessee Valley river!!
